– Walt Whitman
There is an old saying “You are what you eat”. This is true not just about food, but relates to our thoughts, feelings and actions. A miserable person can find the negatives even in the best situations. They tend to be “yes but” people. This person might find extra money in a paycheck and just know that they will be hit with another bill that will erase the extra money. On the other hand, when we face the sunshine and are able to see the best in the worst situations, the negativity remains behind us. Today, I will face towards the sunshine. I will not catastrophize negative situations, to allow myself the opportunity to find peace and serenity in life’s ups and downs. Today, I will live in the light, and be grateful that my darkest days lie behind me in my past.
