Overcoming

We often are good at starting things, but less likely to stick with them. Many people have a tendency to lose their steam, as things lose their value to us. Recovery is something worth holding onto. Sometimes the work and results come slowly. Stick with it anyway. The rewards you seek may not be exactly what you thought they would be. Stick with it anyway. Take time to notice the good, healthy and positive things be they big or small along your journey in recovery. Virtually any problem can be overcome if we continue to live in the solution. Today, I will humbly pat myself on the back for how far I have come. Even if today is my first day sober, I will note the accomplishment. I will be thankful for the opportunity I have been given, as that opportunity has not been guaranteed to me or anyone else. I will hold onto the motivation on the difficult days knowing that the more I keep it, the easier it becomes to maintain it.. Recovery is worth it.
