“The only limit to our realization of tomorrow will be our doubts today.”

When we are engaged in the lifestyle of use, we have power, but we almost always give up that power because we are like hamsters on a wheel. We wake up in the morning and figure out how and when we are going to use our drug of choice. Too often our day revolves around our desire to use. In recovery, we gain far more power and control. Sometimes it’s difficult to know what to do with this new found power, and recognize what to do with our time and freedom. The possibilities for today and tomorrow are endless once we free ourselves from use. Today, I will embrace my freedom. I will make use of my time productively today to remove doubts of my decision to be sober, and realize my potential in sobriety.
