“Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths.”

When I go through struggles and overcome them, and come out of the other side, it builds character, and gives me the strength and knowledge that I can do this. Far too many are willing to make a change as long as it’s easy, and then once they are faced with something stressful, they give up. There are struggles and there will be stressors along the way. I can face those struggles with determination. The only urge to give in that lasts forever, is the one I give into. Today, I will win the battle against my addiction, not because I know it will be easy, but because I will demonstrate fierce determination to fight my way through. I will feel better, I will be better knowing that I have overcome my demons. I will draw strength through overcoming my struggles, and know that the more I overcome, the easier it will be with time, effort, energy and my dogged willingness to never give up.
