It would be nice to make the future as we would like it to be, happen now. Wouldn’t it be great if like so many other ailments we could take a pill and we’d suddenly be in recovery. You have the power to do the work necessary today, to prepare for a better tomorrow. You cannot continue to live in slavery to your drug of choice and expect a better future. Today, I will continue to prepare for a better future, by living sober. I will not lose sight of my goals for what a sober life can mean to me. I will envision a future of healthy connection and inclusion of others.
