“Believe You Can, And You’re Halfway There.”

Theodore Roosevelt

We often believe that recovery is for other people, not for us. We stay stuck in our situations because we lack the belief and conviction that we have what it takes to overcome our addiction. We see ourselves as flawed, as if there is something wrong with us that we can’t get it, while other people can. The numbers, however, do not support this. There are millions of sober people around the world. People who at one point were just like you, who are now reaping the benefits of sobriety because they overcame the belief that they couldn’t do it. Today, I will choose to believe that I can get sober. If for no other reason, it lies in the valid belief that if other people as bad or worse than me have done it, I can too. I am possible, not impossible!
