You are valuable despite your imperfections. Along the way of our progression of addiction, we have a tendency to impose a diminished self image. We tend to lose our sense of value and worth because of the things that we have done. But when you think about others who may have had some of the same struggles as you, do you think they don’t deserve to be sober? Do you think others like you are worthless and valueless? Most people tend to reserve this type of negativity for themselves. When we come to value ourselves, we tend to decrease the need to medicate ourselves with alcohol and drugs. Today, I will assess my value as a human being. I will recognize that whether I believe in a higher power or not, the saying: “God don’t make no junk” applies to me. I will operate with my life with worth.
