Liz Schillo is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern-Florida (RMHCI) and an Alcohol and Drug Counselor-Minnesota (ADC). Liz has been in the field of addiction and mental health since 2018 obtaining her Master of Arts in Addiction Counseling: Advance Practice in 2020 from Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies. Liz has provided services in a variety of settings: intensive outpatient, residential, group homes, individual and group therapy for adolescents and adults.
Liz brings a holistic yet eclectic approach to counseling, which means she will adapt her interventions to the unique needs of the client. Liz incorporates person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and more as she journeys with the client through personal changes.
Liz has familiarity with a multitude of concerns including but not limited to: Addiction, Anxiety, Behavioral Issues, Career Counseling, Chronic Illness/Pain, Depression, Dual Diagnosis, Eating Disorders, Grief, and Self-Esteem. She has vast experience working with both men and women, licensed professionals, LGBTQIA+, military and their families.
Liz is passionate about her clients, empowering them to make positive, healthy decisions while walking beside them through their journey.
