“Ask and it will be given to you; search, and you will find; knock and the door will be opened for you”

– Jesus

We have the capacity to do whatever it is that we want in life. The more effort we put into our recovery, there is little doubt the more we will receive. The first step is recognizing that you have a problem. From that point on, it becomes about our willingness to change. When we come to understand that I am not an expert in recovery, and to be successful, I will require help, then all we need to do is to start asking for help. I can’t obtain that which I want without asking for it. If I go to a car dealership, seeking a car, but when the salesman comes to me and asks if he can help you, and you don’t respond, then you are likely to leave the dealership without the car. Today, I will ask for help, I will allow other to guide me as I search for the answers that will help me to stay sober, and I will knock on the door of opportunity, to open a new and better life.
