Best Friends

In the lifestyle of addiction, we were often our own worst enemy. There may have been opportunities to quit, but we put off those opportunities. In doing so we suffered longer and experienced further consequences. We may have wondered “Why Me?” The cause of our misfortune, and the reason why we have been our own worst enemy lies in the fact that we valued using above all else. Today, I can stay sober and become my own best friend. I can achieve great things in sobriety including finding self respect and the respect of others.
