How many times have you attempted sobriety, only to turn around and go back to the lifestyle of use? What did it get you? You are in a program of recovery. That light shines for you, just as it does for every person in recovery. The longer you stay sober, the brighter the light becomes. Once we get a taste of what real sobriety can be, we tend not to turn back around. Today, I will fall in love with recovery. When I come to love my sobriety like I loved my drug of choice, I’ll find I have little reason to turn around and go back, but I will continue to move forward in recovery.
