Strengths and Weaknesses

We all have weaknesses. No human is without a weakness. Some weaknesses are not worth the effort of trying to change. Addiction is such that it takes many of our strengths and turns them into weaknesses. Perhaps we once were social, and now introverted. We have been good friends or family members or parents, but put all of those things behind our use and the using lifestyle. Addiction is a weakness that can be turned into a strength. Going through the process of recovery allows the best parts of us to re-emerge into strengths again, and discover new strengths that we never knew existed. Today I will be open to the knowledge that my addiction is my biggest weakness. I will work today on turning my weakness into a strength by maintaining my commitment to a program of recovery
