Addiction is an inward journey. Like a tornado, it has a tendency to devastate everything in its path. Think of the choices that we made in the throws of our addiction that hurt ourselves and others. We don’t have to beat ourselves up for the decisions we made in the past, but rather recognize those choices. Today I will choose to stay sober and recognize the value of restoring myself and the relationships that I have shattered as a result of my use.
